A total of nine ACCAC teams were ranked in four NJCAA polls released Tuesday.
In the Division I men's soccer rankings, Pima, the defending national champions, moved up one spot from third to second after wins over GateWay, 5-0, and South Mountain, 13-0, to improve to 3-0-1. Yavapai improved from #10 to #6. The Roughriders are 5-0 after a 5-1 win over previously-eighth ranked Southern Nevada. Phoenix received its first votes of the year but did not crack the top 20. The Bears are 3-1 with wins last week over Chandler-Gilbert, 3-0, and Mesa, 5-0.
In Division I women's soccer Phoenix is the only school listed, slipping from #20 to "others receiving votes." PC is 2-0-2. Last week the Bears edged Chandler-Gilbert, 2-1, and tied Mesa, 1-1.
In Division II volleyball three conference schools are listed. Glendale slipped from #5 to #7 following a 3-0 win over Phoenix. Mesa remained #16. The T-Birds topped Pima, 3-1, but fell in non-conference action to Spokane, 3-2, to go to 6-2. Phoenix got its first votes of the year with a 6-4 mark after losing to Glendale, 3-0, and Spokane, 3-0.
In Division I, Yavapai moved into the top 20 at #19 but did not play during the week. The Roughriders are 7-2.
