Student-Athletes selected for NJCAA Council

  The ACCAC will have two representatives on the newly-created NJCAA Student-Athlete Council.

  Kaitlin Bruchhauser, of Glendale, and Cochise's Patrick Samoura will be the Region I members of the Council which will meet regularly via Zoom after the first of the year.

  The council will provide student-athletes with tools for involvement at both the regional and national levels of the association.

  Bruchhauser is from Litchfield Park, AZ, and is a sophomore at Glendale. She has a 4.0 GPA and is pursuing an eventual Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a Minor in Psychology.

  She is a member of the GCC volleyball team and does community service work at Palm Valley Church, Special Olympics Arizona, Relay for Life and Feed my Starving Children.

  She is a graduate of Millennium H.S.

  Samoura is from Prague, Czech Republic, and is in the General Studies program at Cochise.

  He plays basketball for the Apaches and will be a freshman for the Apaches, having missed last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has won numerous awards in his home country.
