ACCAC Men's Soccer Roundup, Aug. 26-Sept. 1

Conference competition will not begin until Sept. 19, but several ACCAC teams have gotten off to quick starts.  Four teams have not lost a game through Sept. 1, although one has a tie.

Perennial national power Yavapai has raced to a quick 4-0 record. Last week the Roughriders defeated two conference foes in non-conference games. Tucker Fenton has led the way for YC with five goals on the young season.

Chandler-Gilbert has posted a 3-0 mark. The Coyotes beat Park University's first-year team, 11-0, and then won twice in non-conference action over GateWay, 4-2, and South Mountain, 5-0. Zac Mohammed has poured in four goals, plus an assist, for the year.

Mesa opened with a 9-0 victory at South Mountain and then took down GateWay, 3-0, as Preston Grayson has scored five times.

Defending national champion Pima opened its season with a 1-1 overtime tie against visiting #14 Salt Lake and then downed Paradise Valley, 2-1.
