Central Arizona is only women's basketball team still unbeaten in conference play

Central Arizona is now the only team that remains unbeaten in ACCAC women's basketball after a holiday-shortened week.

The Vaqueras topped Cochise, one of the other no-loss teams a week ago, 72-54, to stretch their record to 3-0 in conference play and 7-1 overall. Ayanna Clark poured in 27 points to pace CAC. She also had 14 rebounds and was 11-16 from the floor. Mahogany Menefee added 16. Kayla Harris had 12 for the Apaches and Vinisha Sherrod 11.

That leaves five teams with 2-1 conference marks.

Chandler-Gilbert suffered its first league loss, 61-54, to Eastern Arizona. EAC got 14 points from Kiki Brooks and 13, plus ten rebounds, from Danja Stafford. CGCC was paced by Bella Thibaudeau with 14 points. Eastern is 8-2 overall and the Coyotes 5-3.

Mesa and Phoenix both have 2-1 ACCAC records. MCC handed PC its first league loss, 80-59, on the road. Zyan Smith popped in 20 for MCC, while Cameryn Harris led the Bears with 19. The T-Birds are 5-4 in all games and the Bears are 2-5.
