Central Arizona's Ayanna Clark and Hallie Lawson, of Pima, are the ACCAC women's basketball Players of the Week for Jan. 6-12.
Clark, who earned her second weekly honor, is a 6-3 sophomore from Long Beach, Calif., and Long Beach Poly H.S., led CAC to two big wins over South Mountain and Chandler-Gilbert. She averaged 21.0 points and 13.5 rebounds during the two games. She also had nine blocked shots, four steals and three assists. She connected on 17 of 28 shots from the floor, a .607 percentage.
Lawson, a 6-2 sophomore from Gilbert, AZ, and Campo Verde H.S., had a 15.5 scoring average and 9.5 rebounds per game as the Aztecs won over South Mountain and Chandler-Gilbert. It was also her second award. Her stats included five assists, three steals and two blocks.
