Scottsdale, Mesa, sit atop ACCAC volleyball at 2-0

  Mesa and Scottsdale remain the ACCAC's two conference unbeaten teams at 2-0 after play from Sept. 2-8.

  SCC beat Chandler-Gilbert, 3-0, in its only conference match of the week, while MCC took a 3-1 victory over Pima in its only ACCAC action. Both teams, however, fell to travelling Spokane CC. The T-Birds fell 3-2 while the Artichokes lost 3-1.

  Meanwhile, Glendale holds a 1-0 conference record. The Gauchos blanked Phoenix, 3-0, in their first league match Wednesday.

  Yavapai's Kennedy Wright leads the ACCAC in kills per set with 4.19, just ahead of Mesa's Kendall Coleman at 3.97.

  Heather Wanninger, of Yavapai, leads in digs per set with a 5.33 mark.

  The league's blocks leader is Yavapai's Lacie Tenney with an average of 1.26 per set.
