Two more ACCAC schools open cross country seasons

  Two more ACCAC schools opened their 2019 cross country seasons last weekend, Pima and Glendale.

  PCC competed at the George Kyte Invitational at Northern Arizona. Juan Miranda led the men in the 4.5 miles race, placing 29th in 26:57.9. He was followed by Alex Corrales who took 32nd place with a 27:23.8 clocking.

  For the women, Jana Quihuis ran to a 15th place finish in 19:18.9 for 2.6 miles. Iriana Sanchez was 17th in 19:34.1.

  Glendale traveled to Los Angeles for the Biola University Invitational.

  The GCC men placed 16th of 18 primarily four-year colleges. They were led by Logan Harris who took 57th place with a 26:57.49 time for 8K. The GCC women were paced by Kjersti Hanks who finished 156th with a 5K time of 21:27.12.
