Player of the Week – Kayla Rodgers – Yavapai – Batted .769 (10-13) in four games including three doubles, four home runs and 11 RBIs. Scored 13 times and walked three times. She is a sophomore from Chino, Calif., and Ruben S. Ayala H.S. It is her second weekly selection.

Pitcher of the Week – Emily Dix – Yavapai – A sophomore from Albuquerque, N.M., and Volcano Vista H.S., she was selected for the third time this season. In two starts she pitched a total of nine shutout innings allowing just three hits and striking out 16.

Softball - Div. II

Player of the Week - Alex Reeve - Mesa - In two games she hit .889 (8-9) with a double, a home run and ten RBIs. She is a freshman.

Baseball – Div. I

Pitcher of the Week – Darius Garcia – Pima – Went 6.1 innings in a win over Paradise Valley. Allowed just one run and struck out 11. He is a freshman from Albuquerque, N.M., and Volcano Vista H.S.

Baseball – Div. II

Pitcher of the Week – Mitch Downing – Glendale – Selected for the second consecutive week. He got a win over Cochise, going 6.2 innings, allowing just two runs with four strikeouts. He is a sophomore from Phoenix, AZ, and Cactus H.S.
