Softball – Div. I

  Pitcher of the Week – Emily Dix – Yavapai – For the fourth time this season the sophomore from Albuquerque, N.M., and Volcano Vista H.S., wins the honor. This time she pitched in both ends of a doubleheader with Pima, getting the win in both games. She went a total of 6.2 one-hit, shutout innings, striking out nine.

  Player of the Week – Yaya Kaaialli – Yavapai - Went 7-8 (.875) in two games. That included four doubles, a triple and a home run along with eight RBIs. She even walked twice and stole a base. She is a freshman from Las Vegas, Nev., and Leadership Academy of Nevada.

Softball – Div. II
Pitcher of the Week – Sydney Roe – Glendale – Entered game two against Paradise Valley with the bases loaded and no outs in the fourth inning with her team trailing and shut down the Pumas in an eventual 10-9 win. She is a freshman from Glendale, AZ, and Kellis H.S.

Player of the Week – Kate Hogan – South Mountain – Batted .600 (9-15) in four games, all Cougars wins. Hit two home runs, two triples and a double and drove in eight runs while scoring nine herself. She is s freshman from Tooele, Utah, and Tooele H.S.

Baseball – Div. I

Pitcher of the Week – Darius Garcia – Pima – Hurled five-inning no hitter against GateWay with seven strikeouts. It is his second weekly award. He is a freshman from Albuquerque, N.M., and Volcano Vista H.S.

Player of the Week – Aaron Marsh – Cochise – In four games the sophomore from Nanaimo, B.C., hit .556 (10-18) with three doubles and four RBIs.

Baseball – Div. II

Pitcher of the Week – Tally Wright – Chandler-Gilbert – Threw seven innings of four-hit, shutout baseball against Cochise. Struck out seven. He is a sophomore from Milwaukee, Wisc,, and Hamilton H.S.

Player of the Week – Crew Parke – Chandler-Gilbert – The freshman from Mesa, AZ, and Westwood H.S., went 8-18 (.444) with two RBIs and two walks.
