ACCAC Players of the Week (2/12 - 2/18)

The ACCAC has announced the players of the week (2/12 - 2/18) for baseball, softball, and men's & women's basketball.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Baseball

Div. I Pitcher - Tommy Brandenburg - Central Arizona - The sophomore from Kalama, WA, pitched in eight innings and only allowed two hits and one run. Brandenburg also had 15 strikeouts as the No. 1 ranked Vaqueros defeated No. 13 Cochise, 4-1.

Div. I Position Player - Tyler Wytulka - Eastern Arizona - The sophomore from Nucla, CO, had six hits and five runs in 10 at-bats over a three-game span last week. The Gila Monsters went 2-1 in those games against Arizona Western and South Mountain.

 

Softball

Div. I Pitcher - Elisa Garcia - Arizona Western - The sophomore from Calexico, CA, allowed only one hit and had three strikeouts in five innings pitched as she earned the win against Yavapai.

Div. I Position Player - Asiah Bell - Central Arizona - The sophomore from Tucson had 10 hits, five RBIs, and seven runs in 14 at-bats as the Vaqueras won both doubleheaders against Scottsdale and Phoenix College.

Div. II Position Player - Anisa Reynolds - South Mountain - The sophomore from Chandler had seven home runs, 13 RBIs, and 10 runs in four games as the Cougars won both doubleheaders against Phoenix College and Glendale.

 

 

Men's Basketball

Div. I - Yaxel Lendeborg - Arizona Western - The sophomore from Pennsauken, NJ, averaged 19.5 points, 73.9%, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals as the Matadors won both their games against Pima and Eastern Arizona. This is Lendeborg's fourth POTW honor this season.

Div. II - Mike Rogers - Phoenix - The sophomore from Harlem, NY, averaged 27 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in wins over South Mountain and Mesa.

 

Women's Basketball

Div. I - Pa'Shence Walker - Central Arizona - The freshman from Martinsville, IN, averaged 24.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in two games last week and had a career-high 36 points vs. Cochise.
 
 
Div. II - Luisa Chavez - Pima - The sophomore from Rio Rico averaged 12 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in two games last week. The No. 13 ranked Aztecs won both their games against Arizona Western and Glendale. This is Chavez's second POTW honor this season.
