Women's Basketball

Division I – Denali Hughes – Central Arizona – The sophomore from Aurora, Colo. And Vista Peak Prep averaged an amazing 31.5 points in two games including a high of 36 against Pima. She was 22-39 (.564) from the floor and added 22 total rebounds, four steals, an assist and a block.

Division II – Fama Thiam – Pima – Averaged 11.0 points over three games. Also had a total of 16 rebounds, 15 assists and six steals. She is a sophomore from Highland H.S., in Gilbert, AZ.

Baseball

Division II – Pitcher of the Week - Caleb Thomason – Glendale – In seven innings the freshman allowed no runs on six hits. It is his second selection of the year.

Softball 

Division I – Player of the Week – Jocelyn Ulrich – Yavapai – The sophomore from New Mexico went 5-7 (.714) in a doubleheader sweep of Central Arizona. That included two doubles, a home run, seven RBIs, five runs scored and a walk.

Division I – Pitcher of the Week – Anahi Grijalva – Arizona Western – Won both games she appeared in. In a total of 12 innings she allowed just three earned runs while striking out 18 and giving up only eight hits. She is a freshman from Imperial, Calif.

Volleyball

Division I – Offensive Player of the Week – Samantha Holman – Yavapai – The freshman from South Jordan, Utah, and Bingham H.S., had a total of 19 kills in two matches and a .321 attack percentage. She also had 19 digs along with three blocks, one assist and one service ace.

Division I – Defensive Player of the Week – Heather Wanninger – Yavapai – Selected for the fourth time this season, she had 41 digs, five assists and one ace in two matches. She is a sophomore from Liberty H.S. in Peoria, AZ.
