Pima opens NJCAA DII soccer play with 2-0 win over Muskegon

  Pima scored both of its goals early in the game and went on to a 2-0 victory over Muskegon in the opening round of pool play at the NJCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship Saturday.

  The Aztecs will now complete pool play Monday, taking on eighth-seeded Patrick Henry at approximately 3 p.m. The tournament is being contested in Wichita, Kan.

  Hyconsang Jang got PCC on the board quickly with an unassisted goal in the 12th minute.

  Six minutes later it was Seungeom Kim who tallied with an assist from Manuel Quiroz.

  The No. 1-seeded Pima squad out-shot the 12th-seeded Jayhawks 6-1, forcing Pima goalkeeper Juan Suarez to make the one save in recording the shutout.
