Middle blocker Elizabeth Toiaivao, of Yavapai, and outside hitter Anny Montano, of Arizona Western, were named co-Players of the Year to highlight the all-ACCAC and all-Region I volleyball teams.
Also selected were Jalyn Osborne, of Eastern Arizona, as Setter of the Year, Yavapai's Heather Wanninger, Libero of the Year, and Zach Shaver, of Yavapai, Coach of the Year.
Toiaivao, a freshman from San Tan Valley, AZ, and Gilbert H.S., is leading the ACCAC in hitting percentage at .246 as well as blocks per set with 1.11. Montano, a freshman from Cali, Colombia, is tops in the league in total kills with 158.
Osborne, a sophomore from Anchorage, AK., and Dimond H.S., was second in the league in assists per set with 8.24. Wanninger, a sophomore from Liberty H.S., in Peoria, AZ, led the conference in both digs per set (6.23) and total digs (299).
Shaver, in his eighth season with the Roughriders, led the team to a 10-5 record in the COVID-19 shortened season. YC was 7-1 in ACCAC play and finished first in the regular season, earning home-court advantage in the NJCAA Region I Playoff.
