Cross Country

Men - Wyatt Williams - Mesa - The freshman from Gilbert won the men's 8,000-meter race at the Mesa Open with a 26:52.5 performance, which is the second-fastest time Williams has run for 8K this season.

Volleyball

DI Offense - Natalia Slazynska - Arizona Western - The sophomore from Tomaszow Mazowiecki, Poland, had 99 assists, 20 digs, two blocks, and five kills combined in two matches last week. The Matadors edged out both Eastern Arizona and Mesa by scores of 3-2. This is Slazynska's second player-of-the-week honor this season.

DI Defense - Brooklyn Angle - Eastern Arizona - The freshman from Thatcher had 43 digs, 11 assists, and two aces combined in two matches last week. The Gila Monsters fell to Arizona Western, 3-2, but held on to a 3-2 win over Yavapai. This is Angle's second player-of-the-week-honor this season.

 

DII Offense - Jada Blake - Chandler-Gilbert - The sophomore from Mesa had 36 kills and 12 digs in two matches last week as she helped lead the Coyotes to wins in both matches by scores of 3-0.

DII Defense - Morgan Haines - Pima - The freshman from Tucson had 47 digs, seven assists, and three aces in two matches last week and helped the Aztecs win both matches against Mesa and Phoenix, 3-1 and 3-0.
