DI Men’s Soccer
Arizona Western remained the top team in the latest NJCAA DI Men’s Soccer poll after winning a pair of games last week. The Matadors started the week with a 3-0 win over Paradise Valley on Tuesday to finish off their ACCAC schedule before finishing the week off with a 14-0 win over Imperial Valley at home on Friday.
DII Men’s Soccer
Pima remained No. 2 in this week’s NJCAA DII Men’s Soccer poll after winning their lone game of the week, beating South Mountain 4-1 on Tuesday to finish the regular season. Pima has won its last two matches entering the Region I playoffs.
Phoenix moved up one spot to No. 3 in this week’s poll thanks to a week which saw the Bears shutout Scottsdale 3-0 on Tuesday night to win their second consecutive game.
Mesa moved back down two spots this week to No. 14 after going 1-0-1 in a pair of matches to end the season. The Thunderbirds started the week with a 2-2 draw on the road at Glendale before beating South Mountain 3-2 in the resumption of a suspended game on Saturday.
DI Women’s Soccer
Arizona Western fell one spot this week to No. 10 after winning its lone game last week. The Lady Matadors scored 14 goals for a second consecutive game, beating Paradise Valley 14-0 on the road on Tuesday to conclude the regular season.
DII Women’s Soccer
Phoenix jumped one spot to No. 2 thanks to a hard-fought 2-1 over Scottsdale on Tuesday to extend its unbeaten streak to six games. The Bears have allowed just three goals in the month of October.
Scottsdale fell to No. 12 in the latest poll after losing 2-1 in their regular season final at home to Phoenix in the battle of the top two teams in DII in the ACCAC. The loss snapped a two-game unbeaten streak.
DI Volleyball
Arizona Western held steady at No. 20 in the latest NJCAA DI Volleyball poll after only playing once last week. The Lady Matadors dropped their lone contest of the week, losing on the road to the former No. 1 team in NJCAA DII, Scottsdale, 3-0 on Wednesday night.
DII Volleyball
Scottsdale fell to No. 2 after sitting atop the DII polls for the last two weeks despite winning a pair of matches this last week. Scottsdale opened the week with a 3-0 win over No. 20 DI-ranked Arizona Western on Wednesday before heading to Tucson on Friday, beating the Aztecs 3-1.
Chandler-Gilbert moved up one spot in this week’s poll to No. 12 thanks to a perfect week. The Coyotes got the week started with a 3-2 win at Glendale on Wednesday night and ended the week with a sweep of the Phoenix Bears on Friday.
