Player of the Week

Alexus Garza – Yavapai – Over the course of four YC victories she went 10-15 (.667) with two doubles, four home runs and 16 RBIs. She even scored eight times. She is a sophomore from Albuquerque, N.M. It is the second time she has won the award.

Pitcher of the Week

Anahi Grijalva  – Arizona Western – The freshman from Imperial, Calif., and Imperial H.S. pitched three times for a total of 20 innings and allowed just two runs on ten hits while fanning 16. She only walked two. It is her third weekly honor.
