Due to COVID-19 problems the Region I baseball playoffs will use a different format this year.
Seeds 6-7 for both DI and DII have a play-in game May 3. The winners advance to a three-team playoff this weekend. There will be two each for DI and DII. Central Arizona, Pima, Glendale, and Phoenix host this week. Winners advance to a two-of-three series next week at highest seed.
The seeding for each division are:
Division I
1 – Central Arizona
2 – Pima
3 – Arizona Western
4 – South Mountain
5 – Yavapai
6 – Cochise
7 – Eastern Arizona
Division II
1 – Phoenix
2 – Glendale
3 – Mesa
4 – Chandler-Gilbert
5 – Scottsdale
6 – GateWay
7 – Paradise Valley
