Central Arizona will hold the role of the unbeaten team when the double-elimination West District concludes Saturday.
The Vaqueros unloaded on host Yavapai, 22-3, in the battle between the tournament's two unbeaten teams. CAC collected 21 hits, paced by Kiki Romero with four, including two home runs. Dusty Garcia hit two out as well and Tyler Griggs and Hayden Seldomridge also homered.
YC will take on Southern Nevada, which knocked out Western Nebraska, 13-3. The winner of that contest will then meet CAC Saturday, but will have to win twice to claim the District's spot in the NJCAA Division I tournament.
