Jarvis' hit keeps Central Arizona going at NJCAA World Series

Jake Jarvis' two-run single in the bottom of the ninth kept Central Arizona alive at the NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series following a dramatic rally for an 11-10 win over third-seeded San Jacinto-North in the elimination bracket semi-finals Thursday.

CAC will now meet No. 4 McLennan Friday at 6 p.m. Arizona time.

San Jacinto-North was the team that had knocked the Vaqueros into the elimination bracket Tuesday with a 7-4 win.

SJC had scored four runs in the top of the ninth, before Central staged its dramatic rally.

In the bottom of the ninth, Dayton Dooney led off with a double to right. Kiko Romero then doubled up the middle but Dooney was only able to reach third. With one out, Jarvis singled to drive in both runners for the win.

CAC collected 14 hits with Romero getting three including a double and an RBI. Jarvis. J.D. McLaughlin and Seth Beckstead all homered with Jarvis collecting four RBIs and McLaughlin three.
