D1 Player of the Week: Anthony Alston, Arizona Western, 6’0” Sophomore Guard

Anthony led the Vaqueros to two region wins this past week including a 78-71 victory over league-leading Mesa. For the week he averaged 17 points, 8 assists, 2 steals while running the team with continuity and togetherness.

 

D2 Player of the Week: Jonathan Makkar, Glendale, 6’6” Sophomore Forward

Jonathan led the Gauchos to two wins this week averaging 12 points, 16 rebounds, and 2 steals per game for Glendale. He shot 55% from the field and 77% from the free throw line for the week.
