Division 1 Player of the Week: Ron Lee – 6’4” Freshman Guard, Arizona Western
Lee averaged 21.5 points per game and shot 49% from the
3-point line in leading the Matadors to two wins over Mesa and Pima
this past week. The Matadors are currently in 1st place with a 9-1
ACCAC league record.
Division 2 Player of the Week: Shakir Smith –
6’1” Sophomore Guard, Pima
Smith led the Aztecs averaging 30 points while dishing out 5
assists per contest. Since his start with Pima this season he has
been averaging a league best 30.7 points per contest.
