Fourth seeded Pima shocked #1 seed Scottsdale, 71-69, and second-seeded Glendale prevailed over #3 Phoenix, 88-72, in the men's Region I, Division II semi-finals Wednesday.
Pima will travel to Glendale Friday at 7:30 for the title game.
Pima's Rashad Smith converted a three-point play with 9.1 seconds remaining to give the Aztecs the winning margin. A Scottsdale three-pointer at the buzzer failed.
Smith scored 19 points to lead Pima. Jake Lieppert and Sammy Legleu added 17 each.
Joshuwan Johnson poured in 30 points to pace Glendale in its win, hitting 8-11 on three-pointers. Adam Hamilton added 15 more. PC was led by Treyvon McCray with 23. Shemar Wilson had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds and Tomari Stevenson scored 11.
