The top two teams in ACCAC men's basketball took a bit of a break from conference play with Cochise and Arizona Western facing only a non-league opponent last week.

  Both took on Community Christian and won easily. Cochise won 97-62 and AZW pounded CCC, 93-40.

  The Apaches got 23 points from Brian Ross, who was 8-12 from the floor. Jonathan Garcia came off the bench to score 17 and Jalun Trent added 14.

  For the Matadors, six players scored in double figures. Stanley Harley led with 14 points from the bench, Leo Gerardo added 13 and Marvin Pitts 11. In addition, Mojus Mojus, Malik Salahuddin and James Dunlop all contributed 10. Dunlap also had 12 rebounds.
