Arizona Western and Cochise will battle it out Monday for the Region I, Division I championship after both scored victories in the semi-finals Saturday. The game will take place in Yuma.
AZW topped Eastern Arizona, 85-56, and the Apaches stopped Central Arizona, 92-85.
In the game between the Matadors and Gila Monster, Marquis Hargrove led the way for Western with 22 points, while Nate Duda added 19. AZW shot 34-57 (.507) from the floor. Mohamed Niang led EAC with 19 points.
No details were immediately available for the Cochise-Central Arizona contest.
