South Mountain continues to set the pace at the NJCAA Region I Men's Golf Championships, holding the team lead at 8-under through two rounds.
The Cougars have separated themselves from the field, with Mesa in second at +19, Chandler-Gilbert in third at +31, and Paradise Valley in fourth at +39.
South Mountain's dominance extends to the individual leaderboard, where the Cougars hold four of the top five positions.
Quinton Breuer leads the field at 5-under, followed by teammate Hudson Ross in second at 3-under. Chandler-Gilbert's Max Palmer sits in third at 2-under, providing the lone break in South Mountain's hold near the top.
PJ Segerstrom is in fourth at 1-under, while Cooper Perkinson rounds out the top five at 1-over, continuing the Cougars' strong showing across the lineup.
With two rounds remaining, South Mountain is in control of both the team and individual races as the field looks to make a final push.
