The 10-game sprint to the finish in ACCAC men's soccer got underway last week and two teams came away with 2-0 records, plus another two won their only conference contests.
Scottsdale had two thrilling overtime victories.
The Artichokes topped Phoenix, 2-1, in a home match when Pedro Prieto-Esquivel connected in the 104th minute on a pass from Ryan Holguin. SCC then scored a 2-1 victory at Glendale to raise its overall record to 4-3.
Mesa, meanwhile, defeated South Mountain, 6-1, and GateWay, 6-0, to improve to 7-2 in all matches.
Picking up one ACCAC win each were Pima and Arizona Western. PCC beat Paradise Valley, 6-3, as Estevan Manzo recorded a hat trick and had an assist. AZW's win was 4-2, also against PVCC as Esteban Franco scored twice. Pima is now 5-1-1 overall and the Matadors are 6-2-1.
Chandler-Gilbert has also not lost, but has a conference tie for a 1-0-1 mark. The Coyotes tied South Mountain in double overtime and now hold a 6-2-1 overall record as well.
