Pima and Arizona Western sit atop the ACCAC in men's soccer with 3-0 conference marks.
The #7 Aztecs improved to 7-1-1 with two convincing wins. PCC defeated GateWay, 8-1, and South Mountain, 14-0, as Isaias German scored a total of five goals and Itsuki Ishihara tallied four times.
AZW won over the same two teams, topping South Mountain, 7-0, and GateWay, 5-1. Ridwane Boukraa had four total goals and Leo Amaral had three, all against SMCC. The Matadors are 8-2-1.
Phoenix, ranked #11, stopped Chandler-Gilbert, 4-1, and then slipped past Mesa, 1-0, in overtime. David Bailon got the winner four minutes into the first extra period. The Bears are 3-1 in ACCAC play and 8-2 overall.
Chandler-Gilbert has a 2-1-1 league mark and is 7-3-1 overall. The Coyotes beat Glendale, 6-1, after their loss to PC. Zac Mohammed scored four goals in the win over GCC.
Scottsdale remains near the top at 2-1 in conference play. SCC suffered its first league loss, falling to Paradise Valley, 5-2, as five different players scored for the Pumas.
It was a big week for PVCC which also knocked off Yavapai for just the second time ever. Antonio Carrillo netted the games's only goal in the 70th minute. Daniel Orsorio and Luis Villegas shred the shutout in net, each stopping one of YC's shots on goal.
