The Mesa men and Eastern Arizona women won the Region I tennis championships played Tuesday and Wednesday at the Paseo Tennis Center in Glendale, AZ.

  MCC scored 14 points in the men's regional to edge Paradise Valley which had 12. Glendale finished with one point.

  EAC slipped past Mesa, 12-11 to capture the women's title. PVCC was third with three points.

  The NJCAA Women's Division I National Championship will be held in Tucson, AZ, May 7-11.

  The men's nationals will be contested May 16-20 in Tyler, Texas.
