Several teams are off to fast starts as ACCAC softball has gotten underway.
Central Arizona is unbeaten in nine games to begin the season. The Vaqueras have played in two major tournaments. Nicole Ley is batting .714 with two doubles, a triple and a home run and has knocked in nine. Meanwhile, Ana Rodriguez has a .500 mark to go along with three doubles, six home runs and 22 RBIs. The latter two lead the ACCAC.
Defending Division II national champion Phoenix has only been able to get in two games, both of which it won. The Bears' Ali Ashner has gone 5-6 with a double, a triple and three RBIs, while Aubrey Chavez and Kamryn Moctezuma are both hitting .600.
Yavapai is 8-1 after two big tournaments and Eastern Arizona is 7-3 after two major events.
