Region I DII Softball Postseason

The 2026 NJCAA Region I Division II Softball Championship field is officially set as the top four teams in the ACCAC battle for the Region I title. The double-elimination tournament will be hosted by Pima Community College with all games played at Pima Community College. All games throughout the tournament will be streamed on the Pima CC Aztecs Athletics YouTube Channel.

The postseason field includes:

  • No. 1 seed Pima Community College - 44-7 overall, 36-6 ACCAC

  • No. 2 seed South Mountain Community College - 41-11 overall, 35-7 ACCAC

  • No. 3 seed Phoenix College - 37-11 overall, 31-11 ACCAC

  • No. 4 seed Scottsdale Community College - 22-29 overall, 18-24 ACCAC

Tournament play begins Thursday, May 7 with No. 2 South Mountain Community College facing No. 3 Phoenix College at 11 a.m. Later in the day, top-seeded Pima Community College will take on No. 4 Scottsdale Community College at 2 p.m.

The double-elimination bracket continues Friday, May 8 with an elimination game between the losers of the opening-round contests at 9 a.m. before the winners of Games 1 and 2 meet at noon for a spot in the championship round.

The loser of Game 4 will then face the winner of Game 3 at 3 p.m. Friday in another elimination matchup, with the winner advancing to championship Saturday. 

Saturday's championship round begins at noon with the undefeated team from Game 4 taking on the winner of Game 5. If the undefeated team suffers its first loss of the tournament, an if-necessary winner-take-all championship game will be played Saturday at 3 p.m.

  • Thursday, May 7

    • Game 1: No. 2 South Mountain vs. No. 3 Phoenix College - 11 a.m.

    • Game 2: No. 1 Pima vs. No. 4 Scottsdale - 2 p.m.

  • Friday, May 8

    • Game 3: Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2 - 9 a.m.

    • Game 4: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2 - Noon

    • Game 5: Loser Game 4 vs. Winner Game 3 - 3 p.m.

  • Saturday, May 9

    • Game 6: Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5 - Noon

    • Game 7 (if necessary) - 3 p.m.
