No. 8 Pima & No. 11 South Mountain Softball Poised for Run in NJCAA World Series

The road to a national championship begins this week for two ACCAC programs as Pima Community College and South Mountain Community College prepare to compete at the 2026 NJCAA Division II Softball World Series in Spartanburg, SC.

No. 8 seed Pima enters the national tournament after a strong postseason run which saw them claim the Region I title. The Aztecs will open play against No. 9 seed Des Moines Area Community College on Wednesday, May 20 at 8 a.m. MST.

South Mountain, the No. 11 seed in the tournament field, will begin its World Series run later that morning against No. 6 seed St. Johns River State College at 10:30 a.m. MST.

Both programs earned their spot in the national tournament after navigating through highly competitive Region play, representing the ACCAC on the national stage against some of the top NJCAA Division II programs in the country.

The NJCAA Division II Softball World Series brings together 20 teams from across the nation in a tournament to crown a national champion. All games throughout the week will take place in Spartanburg, South Carolina. 

Games can be watched live on the NJCAA Network for a fee.
