ACCAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week - Week 5

Men's Track Athletes of the Week (Co-Winners)

Jaden Laffitte – Mesa Community College
Laffitte delivered a standout meet at the Gaucho Indoor, winning the 400 meters in 47.12 seconds and placing second in the 200 meters in 21.12 seconds. His times moved him to No. 10 nationally in the 400m and tied for No. 9 in the 200m in NJCAA Division I competition.

Noah Macias – Pima Community College
Macias captured first place in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.51, the top mark of the meet at the Gaucho Indoor. 


Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Mickayla Gardener – Central Arizona College
Gardener continued her dominant indoor season with victories in both the 60 meters and 200 meters at the Gaucho Indoor. She set a personal record of 7.35 seconds in the 60m and clocked 24.09 seconds in the 200m, performances that rank her No. 3 nationally in the 60m and No. 4 in the 200m at the NJCAA Division I level. This marks Gardner's second ACCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week honor this indoor season.


Men's Field Athletes of the Week (Co-Winners)

Augustine McCabe – Central Arizona College
McCabe won the triple jump with a leap of 14.92 meters, a mark that ranks him No. 7 nationally at the NJCAA Division I level following the Gaucho Indoor.

Noah Brezina – Glendale Community College
Brezina continued his progression in the weight throw, winning the event with a personal-record 16.52 meters, improving on his previous best of 16.46. He now sits No. 7 nationally in NJCAA Division I. This marks Brezina's second ACCAC Men's Field Athlete honor this indoor season.


Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Maleah Tucker – Mesa Community College
Tucker claimed another victory in the weight throw with a mark of 17.58 meters at the Gaucho Indoor. The sophomore remains among the nation's elite, currently ranked No. 3 in NJCAA Division I in the event. This marks Tucker's third ACCAC Women's Field Athlete honor this indoor season.
