Eastern Arizona got off to a 2-0 start in women's basketball with wins over Arizona Western, 61-51, and Cochise, 83-63, over the weekend.

  In the AZW contest, Emily Dogbatse was the only player in double figures, scoring 10 points off the bench. Mary Workman tossed in 20 points and Khadija Smith added 17 in the win over the Apaches. India Perry scored 14 and Tatjana Tatar had 13 for CC.

  In the only other action involving ACCAC teams last week, Arizona Western stopped Cochise. Imani Mitchell led the way with 16 points,  while Lakeysia Babels scored 15 and Faith Silva added 14. CC placed four in double figures, but it wasn't quite enough. Perry led with 15 and Ayana Jenkins scored 14.
