- Eastern Arizona went 2-1 over the week in ACCAC women's basketball to grab first place in the league.
- In a single game Tuesday at Central Arizona, the Gila Monsters ruined Central Arizona's season debut with a 73-64 win in Coolidge. CAC has had four of its first five games postponed by COVID-19. Isis Smith led EAC with 16 points, while Mary Workman scored 14 and Catarina Ferriera chipped in with 10. Shalyse Smith and Denali Hughes each popped in 15 for the Vaqueras and Senya Rabouin added 13.
- EAC then traveled to Yuma for a weekend series and took the opener, 68-50, over Arizona Western. In that one Smith led the way with 16, canning six of nine from the floor, while Ferrierra added 12. Buse Utku led AZW with 14 and Miza Gilberto had 11.
- But the Matadors bounced back Saturday, holding off a late EAC charge for a 65-59 win. Teresa DeSilva paced Western with 11 points and Utku and Jenny NKem-Womsi had 10 each.
