Top-seeded Eastern Arizona is headed for the NJCAA Division I women's basketball national tournament after winning the Region I title over Arizona Western, 56-47, Friday in Thatcher.

  Susi Namoa was one of two EAC players in double figures, scoring 17 points, and was named MVP of the regional. Ajae Yoakum added 13. Isis Smith contributed 11 rebounds.

  The Gila Monsters (16-2) will travel to Lubbock, Texas, for the NJCAA event which begins April 19.
