The Pima women's basketball season keeps rolling following a 78-64 win over Grand Rapids (Mich.) in the NJCAA women's national tournament consolation round semi-finals.
The ninth-seeded Aztecs put together a big third quarter after leading by just one point, 31-30, against 13th-seeded Grand Rapids. Pima will play in the consolation final against seventh-seeded Arkansas St. Mid-South (Ark.) Saturday at 9 a.m. Arizona time.
Fama Thiam continued her strong run in the tournament with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Sierra Mich'l contributed 15 points and nine boards.
