Four teams won their opening ACCAC women's basketball games, two of them with two victories and two others single games.
Central Arizona and Chandler-Gilbert each won twice.
CAC took down Eastern Arizona, 74-55, and Pima, 83-62. In the EAC contest, Denali Hughes led the way with 19 points and ten rebounds with Senya Rabouin adding 14 points. Jasmine Singleton paced the Gila Monsters with 14 and Ajae Yoakum had 14. In the game with the Aztecs, Rabouin knocked down 20 more and Hughes had 14. Sierra Hughes contributed 13 with 15 rebounds. CAC is 5-0 overall.
Chandler-Gilbert scored opening league contests against Glendale and Phoenix. In the PC game, a 47-46 thriller, Leslie Aguirre led the way with 12 points for PC.
Mesa and Scottsdale won their only ACCAC games against the same opponent, Cochise.
MCC scored a 60-49 win as Mykah Anderson scored 17 and Jayla Johnson contributed 12.
Scottsdale, now 6-0 in all games, took an 84-74 victory over the Apaches as Elysia Fleetwood (18) and Ayana Benvaides-Johnson (15) combined for 33 points off the bench. Ajda Licina and Ajanhai Phoumiphat scored 13 each for CC. SCC then added an 80-78 non-conference win over the Park JV with Fleetwood adding 18 more in a reserve role.
