ACCAC Sets Women’s Basketball Play-In Game to Determine Final Region I Semifinalist

The Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) has announced a women's basketball play-in game to determine the final participant in the NJCAA Region I Semifinals, following a three-way tie in the conference standings at the conclusion of regular-season play.

Cochise College will host the College of Southern Nevada on Wednesday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. inside Cochise Stronghold Gymnasium. The winner will advance to the Region I Semifinals as the No. 4 seed on Saturday, March 7.

The play-in became necessary after Cochise, Central Arizona College, and Southern Nevada each finished conference play with identical 6–9 records. Per conference procedures, a tiebreaker system was implemented to establish semifinal placements and hosting assignments.

Central Arizona secured the No. 3 position among the tied teams via coin toss conducted by conference officials, earning a direct path to the semifinals where the Vaqueros will travel to face No. 2 Arizona Western College.

Wednesday's winner between Cochise and Southern Nevada will move on to face No. 1 seed Eastern Arizona College in the other semifinal matchup in Thatcher, Arizona.

The play-in contest sets the final postseason bracket for the conference, with two semifinal games determining the participants in the NJCAA Region I Championship.
