Yulissa Rascon-Bandilla's goal with less than a minute remaining in the second overtime lifted Paradise Valley to the NJCAA Region I championship Saturday, 1-0 over Arizona Western.
Rascon-Bandilla's goal at the 109:04 mark was assisted by Paola Sanchez and was her fifth of the year. Bridget Birss made eight saves in goal preserving the shutout.
The Pumas, seeded third in the tournament, will move on to the NJCAA Division I National Championship which gets underway Nov. 18 in Melbourne, Fla.
