Scottsdale is seeded third at the NJCAA Division II National Volleyball Championship and will open play Nov. 21 against 14th-seeded Oakland at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, W.Va.
The Artichokes begin play at the national event riding a 22-match winning streak and with a 25-4 overall record. Oakland, from Auburn Hills, Mich., is 19-7 and is from the Michigan Community College Athletic Association. The match will be played at 7 a.m. Arizona time.
Should SCC win its opening match it will take on the winner of the match between sixth-seeded Gulf Coast State and #11 seed McHenry County at approximately 3:30 Arizona time the same day.
