Yavapai solidified its hold on first place in ACCAC volleyball by winning the only two matches played last week.

  The Roughriders (4-4, 4-0) defeated Eastern Arizona, 3-1, and Arizona Western, 3-0.

  In the EAC match, YC had four players reach double figures in kills. Samantha Holman had 13, along with 13 digs, while Kambry Jorgenson also had 13 kills and contributed nine digs. In addition, Mailani Manuel collected 11 kills and 11 digs and Elizabeth Tolaivao added 11 digs as well.

  Meanwhile, Heather Wanninger, a two-time Defensive Player of the Week, had an amazing 44 digs and Alia Rasmussen had 22 digs and 47 assists.

  Eastern was led by Ashley Martin with 14 kills and Raynee Norton with 27 digs.

  In its other win for the week, over Arizona Western, Manuel and Kylie Brandt each recorded 11 kills while Wanninger had 19 more digs and Rasmussen added 38 assists.
