MESA AND PARADISE VALLEY CLAIM REGION TITLES AT ACCAC/NJCAA REGION I DII CHAMPIONSHIPS

The No. 4 Paradise Valley Community College men's team earned the NJCAA Region I DII title, totaling 31 points with three runners finishing inside the top 10.
The Pumas were led by Brady Eagar (4th, 26:07.1), Alexavier Martinez (6th, 26:12.2), and Kevin Degroff (7th, 26:20.9).

No. 6 Mesa Community College finished as the Region I DII runner-up, posting 70 points and placing three runners in the top 15. The Thunderbirds were paced by Alex Lopez (9th, 26:22.0), Cal Schnepf (11th, 26:25.2), and Josef Iker (15th, 26:46.5).

Coconino Community College rounded out the top three with 128 points, led by Individual Region Champion Edgar Acila-Mendoza, who crossed the line first in 25:54.7.

The No. 1 Mesa Community College women's team continued its dominant season by winning both the NJCAA Region I DII title and the ACCAC Championship, totaling 29 points. The Thunderbirds placed four runners inside the top 10, led by Individual Region Champion Olivia Baker (1st, 18:23.8). Kinley Jackson (4th, 18:50.4), Lucy Melzer (5th, 19:10.0), and Katie Munoz (7th, 19:51.5) rounded out Mesa's top finishers.

The No. 2 Paradise Valley Community College women's team took runner-up honors with 49 points, featuring three runners in the top six, Audrey Encinas (2nd, 18:42.4), Laynee Hollech (3rd, 18:42.4), and Arianna Mason (6th, 19:22.8).

No. 24 Coconino Community College placed third with 140 points, led by Cian Davis, who finished 9th overall in 20:00.8.
