ACCAC Alumni Shine on National Stage at NCAA Championships

Two former ACCAC standouts delivered major performances at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, reinforcing the conference's track record of producing top-tier collegiate talent.

NCAA Division II Results

Former Central Arizona College teammates Julian Campos (Adams State) and Samuel Gilson (Wingate) both finished inside the top 10 at the NCAA DII Championships.

  • Campos placed 6th overall for Adams State.

  • Gilson finished 9th overall for Wingate.

Both runners were ACCAC Champions during their time at Central Arizona and played key roles in the Vaqueros' national-level success. At the NCAA meet, Wingate captured the team title, while Adams State finished runner-up, giving ACCAC alumni impact on both podium teams.

NCAA Division I Result

Former ACCAC and NJCAA national champion Hayley Burns (NAU), who competed for Coconino, placed 32nd at the NCAA DI Championships, adding another strong national showing for the conference's alumni.

These results continue to highlight the ACCAC's ability to develop athletes who excel well beyond the junior college level and compete among the nation's best.
